Auto crash at Mobalufun junction, Ogun state.

No less than 30 persons were feared dead in an auto crash that occurred at Mobalufun junction, in Odogbolu Local Government of Ogun State on Tuesday.

Details of the accident were still sketchy, but it was learnt that a truck loaded with flour rammed into  a Lagos-bound passenger bus.

Eyewitnesses said other victims of the accident were traders and some commuters.

It was learnt that a lot of people were seriously injured in the  crash. Those injured were said to have been rushed to the General Hospital, Ijebu-Ode and the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, for treatment.

A source also said the remains of seven persons, including a pregnant woman, had been deposited in the hospital morgue.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, the Police and the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency were  at the scene of the crash for rescue effort.
