Dana Air named best domestic airline in Nigeria by FAAN

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) this weekend in what many consider an irony, named Dana Air  the best domestic carrier-even though it is for 2011, despite being the airline responsible for the fatal crash in June this year that claimed the lives of 159 people,

Defending FAAN's decision, the Regional General Manager, said the airline was awarded the prize for its good customer relations and prompt payment of dues.

Lufthansa Airlines on the the other hand was named the best international carrier for the same period.
