Fraudsters Force GTBank to Stop Electronic Transfer Services

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Plc, has temporarily halted some of its electronic-based services due to the activities of fraudsters who have succeeded in breaching the information technology system of the bank. According to the Citizen newspaper, a fraud that sleazed some millions of naira from the account of one of the founding fathers of the bank, alerted the bank’s management and forced it to stop instant money transfers, both from their internet banking services and savings account.
